FRIDAY WATCH OF THE LORD
Our Friday Night Watch of the Lord has been going strong since November when we reestablished it in the heart of San Francisco’s Outer Mission District at Nuevo Pacto by invitation of Enrique Morales, a young apostolic leader in the Spanish-speaking body of Christ. We have joined with his team, & they with ours, for many important prayer initiatives such as the ongoing battles with abortion & homosexual marriage.
BRING A TEAM
If your congregation or ministry team is interested in bringing your supply to strengthen the greater body of Christ here in San Francisco, please contact us. We need worship leaders for our 3-6am midweek watches, & strong worship / prayer teams are vitally needed to cover our outreach team as it goes to the Castro & other strategic locations during Friday Night’s 9pm-12am HARVEST WATCH.

While SFHOPFAN was on Treasure Island, many congregations and ministry teams came from around the Bay Area to participate in The Watch of the Lord. This broke something in the heavenlies over our region as we gathered, leaving our hats at the door to seek the Lord. And we found Him in a beautiful variety of expressions: It was The Church of San Francisco worshiping and praying together, just as the Lord had spoken to us, “I the Lord am waiting to hear the sound of the unity of My people worshiping Me.” And the Lord desires that we continue in this. His body has many members. Each is of value to the whole. If we receive the supply of Christ in His body, we find great increase. There is life in the blood of Christ flowing through His members!

OUR 4 AREAS OF FOCUS
1) PRAYER
Four nights a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday, SFHOPFAN hosts HARP & BOWL prayer gatherings, remembering our Lord’s admonition to his disciples, “Could you not watch with me one hour?” We are providing a place for believers to come together in corporate worship and intercession.
2) PRAYER WALKS
The Lord has directed us to lead worship and prayer teams to certain spiritual portals of iniquity where we declare Christ’s Lordship proclaiming Him King of Kings. These include the flag @ Harvey Milk Square in the Castro, the California State Supreme Court, Grace Cathedral and the adjacent Masonic Temple atop Nob Hill, + other significant locations
3) OUTREACH
PEOPLES CAFÉ / HAIGHT-ASHBURY OUTREACH Every Thursday Night 6-9pm you will find tears on the tables as the hand of God touches grown-up tourists from the nations, traveling young people with backpacks, and San Francisco residents of every variety who sit down with us for a prophetic evangelistic “Destiny Reading”* at historic People’s Café on Haight St. Come join us and we will train you. *Read 1 Cor. 14:24-25 to see how biblical this is.
It’s HARVEST TIME! Luke 4:18, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me…And as the Father sent me, even so, I now send you…GO...Heal the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead, and TELL THEM the Kingdom of God has come near to them!”
CLEANSING THE RAINBOW CASTRO OUTREACH
We bring the Father’s Love to the ‘captives of the Castro’ several Fridays a month, rain or shine. As we worship under the giant rainbow flag & minister the Father’s love one-on one to the hungry & hurting @ Harvey Milk Square, the Holy Spirit never fails to make Jesus a living reality to the lost in San Francisco.
4) ON THE JOB TRAINING
OUTREACH TRAINING: Novices are welcome to come along with us to watch, learn, and do. We teach The Jesus Training Model: You go, and He SHOWS! We encourage everyone who wants to learn power evangelism to join one of our outreach teams. You will learn by watching, receiving instruction, and doing. HARP & BOWL TRAINING:
Learn to flow in worship interwoven with intercession: We encourage novice worship leaders or those who have never done harp & bowl to come and sit in with those skilled in prophetic worship. At our 12 hour Friday Night Watch of the Lord we provide an extra keyboard, guitar, and drums for you to join the worship team to play & grow in your gifting. All that’s needed is a humble & teachable spirit, and willingness to follow the senior worship leader’s instructions.
A NOTE FROM MIKE DOWLING
On Friday Night 1/23/09, the Lord strongly impressed on us that His Church is entering a season of extreme testing with an onslaught of perversity about to be released on our nation. While sitting on opposite sides of the worship circle, both Anne Trumbo & I wrote down Daniel 7:25-27 and Romans 16:2 at the same time. As Anne began to read aloud these scriptures, I showed her my prayer outline with the same scriptures & the word “onslaught”. Then I heard the Lord say clearly, “Do not be vexed, but continue to pray, and I will overturn all perversity, and all evil decrees that are being loosed through the federal and state governments.” This is a golden opportunity for the church and its prayer leaders to lead the way. We MUST release a SPIRIT of PEACE in the midst of this firestorm.
Matthew 8:23-27 “When He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him. And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being covered with the waves; but Jesus Himself was asleep. And they came to Him and woke Him saying, “Save us Lord, we are perishing!” He said to them, “Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea and it became perfectly calm.”
Jesus said, “As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” We the church can release a spirit of holy peace, bringing calm even to non-believers who feel threatened and may be stirred up to commit unlawful actions by a spirit of fear. Church, be salt & light and do not become discouraged! The evangelicals in William Wilberforce’s coalition of the 1700’s, saved under the preaching of Wesley, Whitefield and their disciples, spent 20 years working together as one voice to overturn black slavery, white slavery (sex slavery of English teenage girls), abuse of children in the workplace, and abuse of animals. They succeeded as the Lord gave them strength, perseverance, strategies, and grace to speak into their generation with wisdom, love, and gentleness. Church, STAND, PRAY, and OBEY, and the Lord will overturn all perversity and all evil decrees. 2Thess 2:7-8 “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is taken out of the way. Then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will destroy with the breath of his mouth, rendering him powerless by His appearing at His coming.”

This is an average of $2856 per month. We are doing this on a shoestring budget, with both Mike & Anne doing full time tentmaker work besides the work of this ministry. Please help us establish a 24/7 regional house of prayer in the city of San Francisco!
