THE RAINBOW IS BEING CLEANSED OVER SAN FRANCISCO!

Friday night May 16th, during the SFHOPFAN night watch, a young man from the California Job Corp on Treasure Island was prompted to walk out of the Castro District to find himself in front of Promised Land Fellowship at the SFHOPFAN Cleansing the Rainbow Worship Watch. He was wearing a rainbow t-shirt.  At this time he was cleansed of homosexuality, the occult, unforgiveness, and was healed from rejection…A prodigal came home. A first fruit of what the angel delivered in my home...

Here's the story…

In April,  my friend Pat Curtin: forerunner, skilled musician & worship leader, missionary, and now artist, was coming into town to have some of his artwork reproduced. Just two months before Pat had taken a two-day retreat to read the Psalms. At the end of the second day the Lord spoke, "Go paint".  Pat had never painted before but had been getting dreams and visions of colors and didn't know why. So he immediately went out and bought canvas, paint, and brushes.  Then he grabbed his decorative wall plastering tools. Within a short time, he was on the painting worship team at Bethel Church in Redding.

Pat said to me, "Mike, read the seasons… there are more than gold and diamonds coming from Heaven. The arts and more are being released now.  Just look up and receive!”

See I called by name Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and ability,
 In understanding and intelligence, and in knowledge and in all kinds of craftsmanship.
Ex 31:3

One of the first paintings Pat completed with his plastering tool brushes was the Tree of Life found in Revelation 22:2 whose leaves are for the healing of the nations. This was the painting he brought to Berkeley to be reproduced. (Having just sold another of his paintings for $1,000, he was led to start making prints.)  Pat spent the night at my house after returning from Berkeley.  When he brought his artwork into my living room, I was particularly taken by the painting of the Tree of Life. The iridescent colors made it look alive. I brought it into my family room to spend time admiring it.

The next day, as we were having early morning coffee in the family room, in my minds eye, the painting of the Tree of Life appeared to be pulsating and the leaves falling.
So I decided to do a prophetic act of scooping up the leaves, putting them in my pocket, and then placing them in a basket.
When I sat down, there was a whoooosh and an angelic presence came into the room...
Pat said, "Did you feel that?"
“Yeah, I can feel that."
Pat continued, "It's an angel of the Lord and he has a banner with tassels.
 It's every color of the rainbow, and he's waving it over your head."  
Then the Holy Spirit said, "I am cleansing the rainbow over SF."

This was a powerful encounter with God concerning His plans and purposes for San Francisco.
Two weeks later Pat brought me a prophetic painting of what he had seen in my family room that morning. 

Friday, May 16th, 2008

Because of the State Supreme Court homosexual marriage decree issued on May 15th, I thought it was very important to share God's perspective and His plans for San Francisco. We gathered the SFHOPFAN watch and worship leaders for a time of fellowship, and presented both of Pat’s paintings with the testimonies. We placed the rainbow painting on the platform.  Over the next nine hours, the worship leaders took us into a glory realm while the Lord instructed us to start drawing from HIM.  Every time we did, we got taken up higher. During this time,  the young man from California Job Corp on Treasure Island arrived. He kept saying over and over again “I do not know what is happening to me ...my mind has been changed”.  
I said, “What do you mean? Are you saying that you do not want to practice homosexuality any longer?

When he replied, “YES” I answered, “Just tell that to Jesus and ask Him to cleanse you.”
As he did this, the power of the Holy Spirit came upon him and the fire of God began to purge and deliver…A prodigal came home clean… a sign confirming God’s word that “I am cleansing the rainbow over San Francisco."

NOTE: This is consistent with something the Lord gave me regarding the rainbow flag on the last day of the 5/5 – 5/15/ 05 UpperRoomRemix: The round the clock 10 day worship & prayer gathering that launched the SFHOPFAN. At that time, God showed me that many prodigals would be marching under the rainbow flag the next day during the annual Gay Pride Parade.  He said, "Come into agreement with the prayers of the mothers & the fathers, the brothers & the sisters, the aunts & the uncles, the grandmas & the grandpas, whose loved ones will be marching under (My covenant)  rainbow tomorrow during the parade. Pray for their deliverance from the spirit of homosexuality & the world.”

The Lord is answering the prayers of the saints;
The prodigals & children of the saints are coming home!!!!

For the NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER:
A CALL TO Keep on Praying

During San Francisco's National Day of Prayer observances, we saw a wonderful release of the spirit of cooperation, as the Lord gathered the living stones together from many tribes of diverse backgrounds, denominations, language groups and neighborhoods.We were awed to hear these many "notes" harmonizing in one beautiful song of praise to our King Jesus with strong prayers released over our city by San Francisco pastors & leaders.

The day's prayer events began at noon outside on the steps of San Francisco City Hall at a lively lunchtime open air worship & prayer meeting, where seven SF civic leaders each led in prayer for one of the seven pillars of our community: Government, Business, Military, Media, Education, Church, and Family.  Later that evening, as the congregations, pastors and ministry leaders gathered @ San Francisco Christian Center; an anointed call was released when we prayed for San Francisco church leaders: It was a call for apostles - "generals" to arise, hear the Father's voice, receive His revelation, and lead the church as anallied force in prayer and into His prepared harvest fields. Because of the great turnout & momentum released, SFHOPFAN & NDP host ministries and congregations have agreed to continue gathering the church of San Francisco to prayer monthly. Three weeks ago the NDP steering committee also saw that this was the NOW TIME to continue facilitating CityWide Prayer.

Remembering in Acts 2 & 4: That as the church did these things, there came a sound from heaven, and they were all filled with The Holy Spirit, and all worshiped and declared the wonders of God, and they went out and spoke the word boldly, the Gospel was preached, and many were saved. THE PATTERN HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED..... IT WORKS!

We are hearing MANY of San Francisco's church leaders declaring, "San Francisco, YOU BELONG TO THE LORD!"  And we hear the LORD saying,  "Yes sons... NOW go take it!"

REPENTANCE & HONORING of OUR FATHERS & MOTHERS
[ BREAKING THE GENERATIONAL CURSE ]
Malachi 4:5-6
A repentance and reconciliation act was accomplished between the parents and sons & daughters who, in their rebellion of the '67 Summer of Love, dishonored them and brought a curse upon our land.

NOTE:When Pastor Michael Brodeur read him the email outlining our intentions,
he knew he was to stand in for the fathers because "Phil Easton prophesied years ago that I would be doing Malachi 4:5-6 prayer"

The Lord prompted us that we, as representatives of the Summer of Love Generation, needed to repent and reconcile with our parents' generation for casting them, their values and standards aside in the rebellion that began in 1967, opening the door for all kinds of evil. This prayer initiative turned out to be more than we thought or hoped for. 

VOP Pastor Gazowsky brought his mother (founder of VOP) and family.  His daughters led in prophetic worship for two hours. A spontaneous song of the Lord concerning reconciliation between the generations bubbled up. This was our cue from the Holy Spirit to begin. We had no outline - only a goal… Several of us from the 60’s generation repented to our father’s and mother’s representatives for the sins of dishonoring them: trashing their values, choosing the false fire of LSD, drugs, & sexual promiscuity, and speaking word curses such as "Like father, like son, like hell!"  

Following this, we lined up in rows, the mothers and fathers standing behind the repentant sons and daughters, and then the consecutive generations: 40 year olds, 30s, 20s, teens, and preteens - each group blessing the ones following. Then the youngest in turn released the blessings back through succeeding generations all the way to the mothers & fathers.

We thought we had finished when Robert Scott said there was one more thing to do. As the mothers & fathers of the Summer of Love Generation they repented for the sins of racism, segregation, sexism, and hypocrisy that was their part in the evil released.  We had a deep sense that heaven had marked this repentance in a Kingdom history book.  Although there were only 20 of us, we felt the Lord taking these prayers to repeal the curse operating in our land, and our few loaves and fishes of repentance have been blessed and will multiply.

THE MORAVIAN LADS AND SLAVERY

“That the Lamb that was slain (Jesus) may receive His reward for His suffering.”

These were the last words of a final farewell spoken by two English lads to their weeping parents and friends when their ship was pulling away from the docks on its way to the West Indies. You see, these two Moravian Christian boys had just sold themselves into lifetime slavery in order to go into the bowels of hell on earth. This hell hole was a British slave colony owned by the wealthiest of England’s Lords, businessmen, parliamentarians and the Church of England.  No Christian workers, doctors or any gifts of mercy were permitted to set foot on this island. The only way these young men could minister the love of God to the slaves who were being brutalized: men, woman and children ripped from their villages; abused by starvation and rape; and sold to Europeans and Americans after working the plantations of the West Indies…. the only way to go to them was to become one of them!!  So they sold themselves to the West Indies trading company, not for a few years, but for life; a lifetime sentence of servitude and slavery. Their payment?…only that they could work and live among the slaves in this island hell. They were never heard from again, but their last words have gone around the world…  “That the Lamb that was slain (Jesus) may receive His reward for His suffering.”

These two Moravian Christian lads were the seeds of a revival that would sweep through England and end the horrors of the slave trade business.

William Wilberforce (8/4/1759 – 7/29/1833) was an Evangelical Christian elected to the English Parliament who devoted his life to the abolition of slavery and social injustice. He led a coalition of Evangelicals called The Claphams that included scholars, scientists, prayer ministries (including the Moravians) arts, theatre, music, education and business. Every sector of the culture was enlisted in this cultural war. His first anti-slavery bill was submitted to Parliament May 1789 but was not passed until July 26th 1833. The Slavery Abolition Act was passed after 44 years of dedication to the cause.  Wilberforce died 3 days later……

Keep the prayer fires going. We do not know when the victory will manifest, but it has begun in your hearts. Your unrelenting dedication will bring these two Goliaths down: The aborting and the homosexualization of America’s youth cannot stand against your unrelenting prayer...we serve a God who manifests justice...and judges injustice.

The recent movie Amazing Grace, and the must read book by Eric Metaxas William Wilberforce and the Heroic Campaign to End Slavery tells the story of  Wilberforce’s struggle to end slavery, including white slavery, the sexual exploitation of  children and how his coalition changed the culture of injustice that prevailed in England in his day.
 It was a repentant former slave captain who instilled in him the zeal for the downtrodden. Perhaps one of the prayer seeds of the Moravians took root here!

 “The Claphamites demonstrated the difference that a handful of Christian people can make. They are a kind of case study for effecting social change” Ken Curtis, Christian History Institute. Briefly, here are a dozen characteristics they exemplified.

1. Set clear and specific goals
2. Researched carefully to produce reliable and irrefutable evidence
3. Built a committed support community. The battle could not be carried on alone.
4. Refused to accept setbacks as final defeats
5. Committed to the struggle for the long haul, even if it took decades.
6. Focused on issues, not allowing opponents' vicious attacks on their person to distract them, or provoke them into similar response.
7. Empathized with opponents' position so that meaningful interaction could take place.
8. Accepted incremental gains when everything could not be achieved at once.
9. Cultivated grassroots support when rebuffed by those in power.
10. Transcended a single issue mentality by addressing issues as part of overall moral climate.
11. Worked through recognized channels without resort to dirty tactics or violence.
12. Proceeded with a sense of mission and conviction that God would providentially guide if they were truly acting in his service.

A Slave asks, "Am I not a man and a brother?"



A porcelain cameo by Josiah Wedgewood the potter (whose name is still known for fine china!).  In it, a slave asks, "Am I not a man and a brother?"  Used by Claphamites as a visual aid in their efforts against slavery.

“Is not a person a person, no matter how small?”  Used by the Pro-Life Movement today. (From Dr Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who! (Random House 1954) and using an animated film based on the book (Blue Sky Studios 2008) as a visual aid.)

THE BERKELEY BURN

Here is a vision I received in Berkeley on 9/3/2007
It was recorded by Enrique Morales, an apostolic leader.

On Sept. 3rd SFHOPFAN participated in a 24 hour Burn at The Way Christian Center in Berkeley California. During the 2 hour watch preceding ours, a prophetic word was released again & again that “The earth is groaning, awaiting the manifestation of the sons of God!” Romans 8:19. Our watch also went down that vein in worship & prayer.

After we finished, I was on my way to the parking lot to retrieve my guitar for the next worship leader .In the church parking lot I was stopped in my tracks by the Holy Spirit, as I began seeing a vision, like a movie, of molten fiery lava running under the ground where we were standing.  This lava was like a river flowing under Berkeley.  I saw saints standing on what appeared to be UC Berkeley Campus’ Sproul Plaza proclaiming Christ. (The story of Philip going down to Samaria came to my mind.)  When these saints stood up and proclaimed that Jesus is the Christ fire came up from the lava under ground and consumed them… they became living torches; and their proclamations created intense heat, & the crowd around them began to cry out,  "I'm on fire, I'm on fire!"   Some ran away, and I sensed it was into perdition's fire. Those that stayed literally caught on fire just like the proclaiming saints.  They were consumed / engulfed by the fire of God. Then I saw these flames of fire, like living torches, walking into churches, where the fire cleansed the people who were there.  I then saw them proclaiming Christ outside, & many around them ignited & burst into flames of fire that could not be extinguished.  Those that heard their words or were touched by them were stuck with a hot tar like substance that wouldn’t come off... The tar began to burn through their flesh until it got to their souls.  When it  touched their souls they were born again.  I knew that the tar like oil was the GIFT of the Holy Spirit…CONVICTION OF SIN, burning through until it completed its work of radical salvation!

There is a Phillip anointing coming directly from the Throne of God, a river of molten Holy Spirit fire coming upon those who proclaim Christ in public. The earth is groaning, awaiting this purifying river to be released through revivalists who stand & proclaim. They will draw it to themselves IN THE STANDING / IN THE PROCLAIMING!

WHAT IS PROPHETIC EVANGELISM?

Prophetic Power Evangelism: Word of knowledge ministry.

One of the purposes for the gift of prophecy as stated in the scriptures is the SALVATION of unbelievers.

But if all prophesy [giving inspired testimony and interpreting the divine will and purpose] and an unbeliever or untaught outsider comes in, he is told of his sin and reproved and convicted and convinced by all, and his defects and needs are examined (estimated, determined) and he is called to account by all, The secrets of his heart are laid bare; and so, falling on [his] face, he will worship God, declaring that God is among you in very truth. 1 Cor 14:24-25

But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort. 1 Cor 14:2-4 

Healing & the Word of Knowledge GIFTS work hand in hand to confirm the Gospel as stated by Jesus in Luke 4:18. 

The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives & recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity], To proclaim the accepted & acceptable year of the Lord [the day when salvation & the free favors of God profusely abound]. Isa. 61:1-2 & Luke 4:18-19 Amplified

Then Jesus said to them again, Peace to you! [Just] as the Father has sent Me forth, so I am sending you. And having said this, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit! John 20:21-22
   
What is a “destiny reading”  
Read 1Corinthians 14:2-4 
Although not biblical terms, destiny and reading have biblical connotations for us.
“Destiny” = God has a plan and purpose for all.  Jeremiah 29:11
“Reading” = a prophetic word or word of knowledge where Holy Spirit drops words of encouragement, comfort or exhortation, or information to minister to a person in healing, gospel seed planting and salvation. 1Cor 12:8

WHAT WE SAY & DO:
We begin with “We are going to bring you before the God who created the heaven and the earth and ask that GOD to give us some specific information regarding your destiny…Is that OK?”  (Note asking their permission along the way opens them up to receive. We do everything by permission.)  When they say “Yes”, we pray, "Father, we bring _____ before you and ask the Spirit of Truth (Holy Spirit) to lead us. We ask for a specific word of knowledge for _____ that will bless, encourage, comfort, and help them to fulfill their destiny which You placed in them in their mothers womb. And give a word of healing if needed!”

Instructing them to wait and listen, the Lord ALWAYS gives us something pertinent for them which we then share. We do not initially tell them we are Christian, unless they ask…that comes later:  Often times they want to know if we are psychics. “No, we use the gift of prophecy & are trained @ different schools such as the Supernatural School of Ministry, John Paul Jackson’s Dream Interpretation School, et al” [All true!] During ministry time, we tell them our authority to present them before God comes because we are followers of Jesus…”Do you have any objection to our praying in His Name?” NO ONE HAS EVER SAID “NO” to me, because the Holy Spirit is already touching them! They are NOW wide open for the Holy Spirit to ROCK them!  

Understand that we let the Holy Spirit lead as HE ministers to them!
No one leaves without receiving a card & explanation of who we are & the ministry of Jesus Christ from Luke 4:18-19.

Yes, we have seen dramatic conversions, healings (both physical and emotional) and of course a lot of seed planting.  At our first Haight Street Fair Outreach we were led to use the lure of the words Destiny Readings, and had a steady stream of unbelievers lined up for the entire day…so many in fact, that we had to call local congregations to send reinforcements to help minister to all the hungry people who waited!  Every year since @ the annualstreet fair we have encountered increasingly long lines of those wanting ministry.  Consequently we have had to enlarge our prayer tents & recruit more local evangelism teams to accommodate everyone.  For a full report with lots of great pictures, click here www.sfhouseofprayer.org/haight2010.htm
 
PEOPLE’S CAFÉ MINISTRY: 
The owner of the historic Peoples Café in the Haight-Ashbury has invited SFHOPFAN to set up a ministry table inside the café every Tuesday 6-9pm. Signs in the restaurant offer a FREE DESTINY READING.  Interested people put their name on a waiting list as they order their food.  When we have an open spot, we let them know they are next. Teams of 2-3 believers minister to each person (or couple).  At least one person has prayed to receive Christ every week this year, and many of these are then baptized in the Holy Spirit right there at the table!  It is truly profound and wonderful!!!!!!!  If you’d like to join us & see how, come, sit in and learn!
